Dubai Airport Shutdown Could Cost $1 Million Per Minute

Dubai International Airport is one of the busiest aviation hubs in the world and plays a crucial role in global air travel and logistics.

Industry experts estimate that the airport generates nearly $1 million in economic activity every minute.

A shutdown of the airport, even for a short period, can cause massive disruptions to airlines, tourism, cargo transport and international travel.

Reports suggest that a complete 24-hour shutdown of the airport could cost the global economy around $1.44 billion.

Recently, due to regional tensions, the UAE temporarily closed its airspace which led to the suspension of operations at Dubai International Airport and Al Maktoum International Airport for more than 48 hours.
