The long-running dispute between Ranveer Singh and Farhan Akhtar over Don 3 may finally be nearing a peaceful end. According to the latest reports, Ranveer Singh has agreed to return his reported signing amount of ₹10 crore to Farhan Akhtar’s production house and has also offered a stake in his upcoming film, tentatively titled Pralay, as compensation.
The controversy began after Ranveer Singh reportedly exited Don 3 despite being announced as the lead actor in the much-awaited third installment of the Don franchise. The film was originally announced in 2023, with Ranveer stepping into a role previously played by Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan. However, after months of silence around the project, reports emerged that the actor had decided to walk away from the film.
Ranveer’s exit allegedly created major issues for Farhan Akhtar and his banner, Excel Entertainment, which had already invested significant money into the film’s development.
Industry reports suggested that nearly ₹40 crore had been spent on pre-production, script work, planning, and scheduling before the actor’s departure.
Sources claim that the disagreement started because Ranveer was reportedly unhappy with the script and the pace at which the project was moving forward.
On the other hand, Farhan Akhtar and Excel Entertainment were said to be disappointed because the actor had already committed to the project and participated in the early planning stages.
