The central government has approved a major decision in the recent cabinet meeting, sanctioning a budget of ₹11,718 crore for the upcoming national census. The census will be conducted in two phases and is scheduled for 2027. Along with the census, decisions related to the budget, CoalSETU, and MSP reforms were also finalized during the meeting.
