A common express highway is being built connecting to the Pune-Mumbai Express Highway. This greenfield link will be 130 kilometers long, running from Atal Setu to JNPT Chowk to Pune-Shivajinagar Junction. Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has announced that the Mumbai-Pune distance will now be covered in just 90 minutes, eliminating the need to stop at food malls during the journey.
