China banker death sentence

the former general manager of ‘China Huarong International Holdings’ (CHIH), a state-owned asset management firm in China. Bai, who held a high position, embezzled as much money as possible through his post and profited immensely. He was accused of taking bribes exceeding $156 million in exchange for the acquisition of projects and financial benefits between 2014 and 2018. He was convicted under this charge. After his corruption was proven, China sentenced this banker directly to death.
