Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been awarded Oman’s highest civilian honour, the ‘Order of Oman’, by Sultan Haitham bin Tariq. The honour was conferred during PM Modi’s two-day visit to Oman.
In addition to receiving the prestigious award, India and Oman also signed a trade agreement, further strengthening bilateral relations between the two nations. After visiting Jordan and Ethiopia, Prime Minister Modi arrived in Oman as part of his West Asia diplomatic tour.
The ‘Order of Oman’ is the highest national honour of the Sultanate and is awarded to world leaders for their contribution to strengthening ties with Oman.
