India is set to create history by building the world’s highest railway station in Ladakh at an altitude of nearly 17,580 feet near the China border.
The ambitious railway project is designed to improve connectivity in one of the toughest terrains in the world.
Despite freezing temperatures, heavy snowfall and harsh mountain conditions, engineers are continuing work on this strategic railway hub.
The new station is expected to strengthen transportation, tourism and defense logistics in the Himalayan region.
Once completed, the project will make travel to remote areas of Ladakh easier and faster while also boosting development near the border.
