India has emerged as a major hub for smartphone manufacturing as Apple significantly expands its production in the country.
In 2025, Apple reportedly produced around 55 million iPhones in India, showing rapid growth in local production capacity. This expansion reflects Apple’s strategy to diversify its supply chain and reduce dependence on a single manufacturing region.
A large portion of iPhone production in India is carried out by Apple’s key manufacturing partners such as Foxconn, Pegatron, and Tata Electronics. These companies operate large assembly facilities in states including Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.
