India’s electric vehicle market continued to grow strongly in March 2026, with Tata Motors leading the sales chart. Tata sold 8,224 electric cars during the month, remaining far ahead of its competitors.
Mahindra secured the second position with 5,217 units, while MG followed closely with 5,113 units.
Maruti Suzuki, VinFast, Hyundai and Kia also recorded notable sales.
Luxury brands such as BMW, Mercedes, Volvo and Porsche remained at the lower end of the list, while Tesla sold 49 units in India during the month.
