A tragic incident has been reported from Assam, where the Sealdah–New Delhi Rajdhani Express collided with a herd of wild elephants.

The collision was so severe that the train engine and five coaches derailed after hitting the elephants. In this heartbreaking accident, eight elephants lost their lives.

The incident occurred in the Lumding division of Assam. Following the accident, animal lovers and activists have demanded that the government take immediate measures to prevent such incidents in the future, as similar accidents continue to occur frequently in forest areas.
